On our most recent trip to Dublin we decided to book our chauffeur through Blacklane who arranged our collection from Dublin Airport on to our hotel - the Iveagh Garden Hotel. When we arrived at the airport, our chauffeur was already waiting for us, which made everything so easy. It’s worth noting that Blacklane go all out for customer satisfaction and they keep an eye on your flight times and ensure they’re there on time to collect you. Even if your flight is delayed, you’re in good hands. We were greeted by our smartly dressed, friendly driver at arrivals who assisted us with our luggage and showed us out to the car.
Waiting for us was a Mercedes E-Class that was exceptionally clean. The driver opened the doors for us to climb inside before stowing our luggage carefully in the boot. We chose the Mercedes E-Class as it was the perfect size and offered us all the comfort we needed, however Blacklane do offer a range of vehicles for whatever your party size; they even offer people carriers if you’re travelling in a large group.

The other great thing about Blacklane is their simple booking app. If it’s a last minute car you need, or if you need to make changes to an existing booking you can do it on the go, and receive text message updates that reassure you that everything is in hand. We were very impressed with their pre-booking service.
Our journey was, as expected, perfectly comfortable. We were able to ensure the temperature was just was we wanted it to be and the interiors were exceptionally clean. The car seemed brand new. Our driver was also a delight, being friendly and informative yet non-intrusive. It felt very private sitting in the back of the car. The journey was just over half an hour or so, but felt a lot quicker, and we almost didn’t want to leave the comfort of the car.
