Captain Joe’s Watersports in Miami is run by Captain Joe, a licenced US coastguard and a certified diver. With over 35 years experience, Captain Joe provides safe, experienced and diverse watersports and boat rentals in the heart of Miami’s famous Biscayne Bay.
Captain Joe’s boats range from 15ft to 45ft and can hold up to 12 passengers. The company are happy to recommend routes to those hiring boats and can provide maps for 2 hour routes up to 8 hour routes, all taking in the sites of Miami as well as the local celebrities.

Captain Joe’s also provide jet skis, kayaks, paddle boards, tubing for the kids, fishing, water skiing and the exciting Zainojets water jet packs. All equipment can be hired individually or as part of a group, and some can be provided with tour guides.
Only ten minutes away from Captain Joe’s, we hired out the 19ft boat ‘Hurricane’ so we could take our own tour around Miami. The staff were extremely helpful and provided us with a route map through the area we wanted to visit as well as a radio so we could contact them if there was a problem. Although our boat wasn’t as powerful as others, with only 115HP, we were still impressed with the 35 MPH it managed.
The route we followed took us past the most famous islands and beaches in Miami including Venetian Island and Star Island. We were also lucky enough to spot dolphins while we were out in the sea and enjoyed a saunter past downtown Miami. Our experience was thoroughly enjoyable and the staff members’ friendly and helpful attitude made it all the more exciting and satisfying.
