Executive Chef Adam Smith has been awarded a Michelin Star by The Michelin Guide

    5 October, 2017

Executive Chef Adam Smith of Restaurant Coworth Park has been awarded a Michelin Star by The Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland, 2018.

Michelin's Guide for Great Britain & Ireland 2018 awarded executive chef Adam Smith his first Michelin star for "the accomplished, classically-based cooking."

Chef Adam Smith is Former Observer Food Monthly Young Chef of the Year, Craft Guild of Chefs Restaurant Chef of the Year and Roux Scholarship Winner.

Coworth Park, Dorchester Collection's luxury country house hotel and spa is delighted to announce that executive chef Adam Smith of Restaurant Coworth Park has been awarded a Michelin Star.

Adam is considered one of the UK's most talented chefs, described as 'one to watch' by chef Michel Roux senior. In 2012 he was awarded Observer Food Monthly Young Chef of the Year and won the Roux Scholarship, and as part of this prize was given the opportunity to work under chef Yanick Alleno at Le Meurice, Paris, part of Dorchester Collection. In 2015 Adam was made Craft Guild of Chefs Restaurant Chef of the Year.

Executive Chef Adam Smith comments "I am thrilled for myself and the team who work tirelessly front and back of house to make sure we meet and exceed the expectations of our guests in Restaurant Coworth Park. For me, it is the realisation of a lifelong ambition to achieve a Michelin star and even more special that it has happened here at Coworth Park. Having been at Coworth for little over a year this amazing award is testament to the hard work that our team put in, and I am very proud that we have done so in a relatively short space of time"

General manager Zoe Jenkins comments, "We are delighted that Adam has received this prestigious culinary recognition for Restaurant Coworth Park from the Michelin Guide 2018. To be recognised amongst the most talented chefs and restaurants in the UK is a great honour, and this award recognises his outstanding commitment and the hard work that he and his team have dedicated to Restaurant Coworth Park. I am delighted Adam has fulfilled his dream of achieving a Michelin Star.

Adam, at Restaurant Coworth Park, offers a modern presentation of classic British flavor combinations and a commitment to quality ingredients and depth of flavor. This Michelin-star recognition follows an award of 3 AA Rosettes for the restaurant at the AA Awards last week.
