Located just a few steps from Sydney Harbour Bridge, and just around the corner from the Sydney Opera House is the Pier One Hotel. It’s hard to find a hotel in a better location when staying in Sydney, and you certainly feel like you’ve arrived when you stay here.

The hotel holds a fine location, without feeling like it’s an obvious tourist trap. You get to see all the wonders of Sydney within just a few minutes, while being secluded once in the hotel. The hotel itself has a warehouse style design, with a modern renovated look.

It’s a boutique hotel, with some spectacular views over Sydney Harbour. The décor is clean, with lots of white and greys. All the rooms are cleverly designed, maximising the space and light potential.

Our Walsh Bay Suite was designed with light colours, giving you that waterside feeling. We had a huge flat pillow sofa, which was comfortable. It was positioned across the window ledge, so we could lie and watch the boats sail past and enjoy the sunset. It was spectacular.

“We don’t have a bad word to say about our stay.”

The bathroom was spacious with both a wet room and a huge free standing bath tub. We were impressed with the whole suite, it was very well presented and felt ‘homely’. All the furnishings were simple, but of quality.

The hotel is home to their restaurant, The Gantry. Where we enjoyed waterfront dining and some superb food. This is also a great place to have cocktails and watch the sunset. I can’t emphasis enough how spectacular the views are, this is Sydney at its finest.

We had a magical experience, and Pier One in Sydney Harbour is a must for anyone visiting this beautiful city. We were well looked after by the staff and our suite was well presented and very comfortable. We don’t have a bad word to say about our stay.
