The Radisson Hotel at Stansted Airport is the ideal place to stay when travelling from Stansted Airport. From a convenience standpoint it couldn’t be any better placed as it’s just a two minute walk from the main terminal and a short distance from the rail and bus services, ideal if you’re taking an early flight.

The accommodation is minimalistic but functional, perfect for the business traveller. The rooms are spacious and come complete with all the features you would want, such as tea and coffee making facilities, a minibar, and a safe for your valuables. The facilities at the Radisson include a large health club with a fully equipped gym and a 10 metre pool. There is also a range of spa services, perfect for those seeking a post-flight massage or a hydrating facial.

We were immediately transported into travel mode by the runway views provided from our bedroom, even for seasoned travellers like us it was fascinating to spend a moment watching the aircraft's maneuvering around on the runway. There are 500 rooms at the Radisson, it’s a large hotel and plenty of the rooms offer similar views.

“If you’re flying from Stansted, staying at the Radisson should be your first choice.”

There is a rather impressive feature at this Radisson, on entering the hotel’s lobby you are greeted by it’s signature wine tower. It’s 13-metres high and holds more than 4,000 bottles from all over the globe. If you happen to select a vintage you could be lucky enough to witness an abseiling bartender seeking out your selection, had we not been flying at 6am we may have delved into this experience a little further. Instead, we decided to dine at one of the hotel’s restaurants, the New York Grill. Steak lovers are spoiled for choice with a menu listing a range of succulent steaks, and with a cosy atmosphere it’s a great place to dine and recharge in between travels.

Another reason to stay at the Radisson that will appeal to seasoned travellers is its onsite parking. For an additional fee you can leave your car in their car park while you’re on vacation. If you’re flying from Stansted, staying at the Radisson should be your first choice to start your travels.
