Henley Regatta is held annually in the beautiful town of Henley. Drawing thousands of visitors daily, the Regatta fills the town with guests from far and wide. But with only a few small hotels, those looking for something a little more modern may be disappointed. However, there are other options slightly further afield.

On our visit to the Regatta, we chose to stay at the Hilton in Reading. Only a twenty minute taxi ride away from Henley, it was the perfect location from which to travel in whilst avoiding the booked up hotels in Henley. Upon arriving we were immediately impressed by the modern feel; the Business Center includes 11 meeting rooms with AV screens and internet.

"The hotel also provides a number of modern day facilities for those wishing to leave business behind."

The hotel also provides a number of modern facilities for those wishing to leave business behind. Most notably the on-site health club including a state of the art gym and a large heated swimming pool, a sauna and steam room. As well as this, it was located just outside the town centre as well as the local town of Windsor, which holds many attractions of its own.

The room categories are either standard, deluxe or junior suite, all of which are modern and simplistic in design; in keeping with the hotel's overall theme. All rooms include a widescreen TV, movies on demand and a desk, everything you'd need to keep on top of business while you're away.

We were pleased to have found the Hilton Reading and, despite the beauty of Henley, were happy to escape the busy town in the evening and return to a hotel with plenty of space and modern comforts.
