Located on Sloane Street inside the Jumeirah Hotel is The Rib Room. It's named very apropos to their renowned roast rib of beef. But there is much more to this restaurant than this one dish, they have an extensive menu.
The restaurant is a large open plan space, beautifully designed and decorated. From the moment you enter it feels like a special place, and a team of proud waiters are waiting to greet you. They showed us to our table, and the entire evening was a pleasure to experience. The service is truly faultless, and dare I say others could learn a thing or two by visiting here.
We started with the Loch Fyne Oak Smoked Salmon with traditional Garnish, paired with a glass of Broglia Gavi di Gavi La Meirana. This is a smooth apple wine with citrus and mineral aromas. A perfect pairing for a lovely piece of salmon, a delicious starter. My partner ordered the Rib Room Prawn Cocktail, served with Marie Rose sauce and Cos Lettuce. This was paired with a glass of Glen Carlou, a wine with a integration of fruit and acidity, ideal with seafood, and complements the flavour of the Prawn Cocktail.

We both enjoyed a signature dish of the house for our main course, Roast Rib of Aberdeen Angus Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, along with side orders of Mashed Potato, Glazed Carrots with Fresh Chervil, Buttered Curly Kale, and Honey and Mustard Roasted Parsnips. It's easy to see why this is a signature dish they are proud of. The Beef was simply divine, tender Angus beef that's soft and juicy, and marinated with superb flavouring. We paired the Beef with two glasses of Esquinas De Argento Malbec 2012, a rich red cherry wine with aromas of ripe plum, blackberry and truffle.
For dessert we shared the Roasted pineapple, Coconut Parfait and Mascarpone Sorbet. A wonderful end to a wonderful dining experience. The Rib Room have the process running to culinary precision.
