Nozomi is located in Knightsbridge and is known as a bit of a celebrity hotspot, with their previous clients including the likes of Jay Z and Rhianna. We’d heard that Nozomi has a super-cool laid-back atmosphere and we were keen to check it out.

When we arrived we noted that the atmosphere was precisely that – cool, chilled and relaxing. We began our evening with a few pre-dinner cocktails, including the following…

A ‘Raspberry Passion Martini’ - fresh raspberries and passion fruit puree shaken with three different flavoured vodkas and sweetened with cinnamon sugar

A ‘Nashi-caramel Martini’ - Japenese nacho pear muddled with white sugar and shaken with Grey Goose Pear, apple juice and caramel liqueur

A ‘Mango and Chilli Margarita’ - fresh mango shaken with a pinch of Japanese chilli powder, lime, White Tequila and Cointreau

And finally, a ‘Pink Sapphire Martini’ - strawberries shaken with home-made almond syrup, lemma juice and Bombay Sapphire gin

    “The food was exceptional.”

The cocktails were most enjoyable and a great start to the evening. Shortly after, we were shown to our table on the lower level.

We were a little disappointed that the service at Nozomi lacked friendliness and our waiter was reluctant to give us a smile. However, when we saw the menu, we were distracted from this negative and grew increasingly excited about the food.

We started with the steamed Edamame beans and the miso soup. We then went on to sushi, ordering the California roll and the prawn tempura roll. For our main courses with went for the Aka-miso lamb and the wagyu beef fillet.

The food was exceptional. Beautifully present, fresh and gorgeously flavoursome. We can completely see why this restaurant is so popular – it’s a great find.

Perhaps the service was having an off day, but even without the service with a smile we would definitely still return to Nozomi. It’s certainly one to check out if you’re in the area.
