The Metropolitan by COMO is located on Park Lane in London. The hotel overlooks Hyde Park and has a wonderful, welcoming presence when you arrive. The hotel had a redesign in 2015 and we found the decor to be clean, crisp and minimal. The location is perfect for those looking to explore London, there are no shortage of shopping choices with Knightsbridge less than a mile away, there are a selection of coffee shops and bars within walking distance, and for those who enjoy evening entertainment the Royal Albert Hall is also just a short walk.

During our visit we stayed in one of their Junior suites, which was a spacious suite and provided us with unrestricted views over Park Lane. The decor of the suite was not dissimilar to the lobby, being clean, crisp, and minimal. The king-size bed was super comfortable and was adorned with Egyptian cotton sheets, we liked the remote controlled curtains and controllable lighting, nice touches that added some extra comfort to our stay.

“You’re spoiled for choice when staying in London, but this is certainly a hotel we recommend”

There was a large corner sofa which was built for comfort, and the suite came complete with all the technological touches you could want for. There is a large flat screen TV, high-speed WiFi, a mini bar, Nespresso machine, and climate control to mention a few. The room is well-equipped and suitable for both the business traveller needing to catch up on work, or those looking for a luxury stay in the heart of London.

The hotel also has a luxury spa for those looking to relax, which includes a well-equipped gym and a steam room. It’s also home to the renowned Met Bar, which is a great place to begin your evening.

The Metropolitan Hotel by COMO is in a great location, and has a fresh and minimal design, and delivers on comfort. You’re spoiled for choice when staying in London, but this is certainly a hotel we recommend. We left well-rested, satisfied, and will be staying here again in the future.
