The Hilton Bankside is a recently opened hotel located just a few steps from the River Thames and Borough Market. This is a wonderful area, it’s full of life and character and provides a perfect base for exploring the city.

Upon arrival we were taken back by the quality and style of the interior design and layout. Hilton have definitely stepped up their game here, and after a swift check-in we were on our way to our King Deluxe Room on the 5th floor.

As we were making our way to our room we were impressed with by the small touches throughout the hotel. One of my favourite features that stood out was the giant industrial floor numbers, they were floor to ceiling in height and certainly couldn’t be missed.

“The Hilton Bankside was a joy to experience.”

Our room was spacious and the hotels intriguing design carried on throughout. Our bed is best explained as super comfortable, we had a great night’s sleep and wouldn’t have changed it in any way. We had the pleasure of a complimentary mini-bar, which provided some delicious refreshments. We also had a 42” plasma screen, and some comfortable chairs to kick back in and relax. The bathroom had a walk-in shower and soft bathrobes and slippers which were a welcomed addition.

The facilities in the Hilton Bankside include a good sized gym and an indoor swimming pool. Or for those looking to catch up on some work there is an Executive Lounge, this space is beautifully designed and we spent some time here relaxing. Breakfast is served here along with complimentary soft drinks, and tea and coffee throughout the day. As the evening draws in you will find complimentary canapés and alcoholic drinks. This isn’t your usual Executive Lounge, it’s a really well thought out space with impressive design features and offers something for everyone.

For those looking to eat something a little more substantial, you might want to consider the OXBO Bankside or settle into the Distillery bar for the evening. Overall we’re pleased to say that the Hilton Bankside was a joy to experience, and it’s perfect for those looking to explore London from a prime location.
