You can’t really find a better located London City base than Andaz, Liverpool Street. Located right next to the station this is the perfect hotel for business travel.

When we arrived at Andaz, the doorman greeted us and we were walked through into the lobby. This hotel embodies minimalistic style in a wonderfully classy way. Whilst everything is fairly understated and functional, all the furnishings and fittings are of high quality.

The style and service is extremely professional, and caters well for the corporate traveler; this hotel is very sophisticated, functional and proficient.

“…regardless of your reason for visiting, you’ll be in great hands to make the most of your stay.”

Our room was named “The Day the Flower Rose”, and is one in the series of Andaz’s ‘Room with a View’ creative initiative. This particular room features stunning wall art by internationally renowned British artist, Patrick Morgan. This wall montage, inspired by William Morris – a wallpaper artist, originally from Walthamstow – is a nod to East London culture. Take a look through the painted paned window and you can see the Whitechapel Public Library, interwoven with popular culture – wonderful foliage and the face of Twiggy. It truly is a fantastic feature.

The rest of the room is in keeping with the hotel’s corporate minimalist style, aside of course from the rather splendid nostril sculpture above the bed!

In terms of facilities, you should have everything you need within the Andaz. There is a large gym, as well as a spa in the basement. We were also delighted to discover that the hotel’s lobby area offers guest complimentary hot and cold soft drinks throughout the day, and wine in the evenings. This is a great touch.

Aside from business travellers, Andaz could also provide a great base for leisure; being situated just minutes from Shoreditch and Spitalfields Market. There’s so much on the doorstep of this hotel that regardless of your reason for visiting, you’ll be in great hands to make the most of your stay. With great dining options on site and nearby, you have everything you need here - but there’s so much more just minutes away, should you wish to venture out.
