The Malmaison in Liverpool can be found located just a stone’s throw from the Liverpool Docks. This contemporary hotel is certainly not short on style with its impressive interiors and chic design. We have always loved the location of this hotel, so we were excited to return, it really does provide an excellent base from which to explore the city and take in its delights.

When we arrived we were warmly greeted, efficiently checked-in and soon shown on our way. During this stay, we enjoyed a recently refurbished Deluxe River View Room, which as the name would suggest, offered lovely views over the River Mersey. Although this room wasn’t overly spacious, it was very well designed and included a large stylish industrial desk area - a great space for catching up on some work, this also doubled up as a home for the mini bar. The room also offered a flat screen television, as well as artwork that paid homage to the city of Liverpool. The bathroom in the room was of a good size and included a large inset bath as well as a separate walk-in shower, complete with the branded Malmaison bath products which smell divine.

“We simply adore Liverpool as a city, and staying at Malmaison made it all the more easy for us to fall in love once again with this exciting place.”

In terms of amenities, the hotel offers a good size gym that has a great selection of state-of-the-art equipment, as well as good options for those looking to wine and dine. Mal Bar serves up drinks and light bites, and Mal Brasserie offers a casual brasserie style menu in casual surroundings. Being just a short walk from the city centre means that realistically you are not short of choice of restaurants and bars, and we would highly recommend checking out the local offerings. The Liverpool Docks are also worth a wander around, especially should the sun happen to be shining.

Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Malmaison in Liverpool, and would certainly recommend it for anyone looking for a great base in the city.

We simply adore Liverpool as a city, and staying at Malmaison made it all the more easy for us to fall in love once again with this exciting place. We simply cannot wait to return and look forward to staying at Malmaison once again.
