We recently discovered the Viners Mayfair 44PC Wooden Canteen Cutlery Set, which we believe brings the perfect amount of sophistication to the dining table. The Mayfair design is timeless, with delicate detail on the handles which instils the highest sense of quality. The weight of this cutlery set is balanced perfectly and sits very comfortably in the hand.

The set comes complete with six table knives, six table forks, six dessert forks, six dessert knives, six dessert spoons, six teaspoons, six soup spoons and two table spoons, so it’s absolutely ideal for entertaining. It comes wonderfully presented in a beautiful wooden box, which can be used to store the cutlery when it’s not in use.

The cutlery itself is made from the finest quality stainless steel and is built to withstand the test of time. So much so that purchasing this set ensures you a 50 year guarantee. And being dishwasher safe, this set is not only perfect for dinner parties and special occasions, but could also be used every-day.

“The Mayfair design is timeless, with delicate detail. “

Viners was started in 1901 by Adolphe Viener and his sons in Sheffield, after the Second World War, Viners Ltd grew to be the biggest cutlery manufacturer in England. The Rayware Group, a family owned business, now own the Viners brand.

Rayware have done a fantastic job with reviving the Viners brand. They have expertly maintained the classic elegance and charm of the brand whilst introducing new ranges that are more suited to modern day living. We thoroughly recommend that you check out the other ranges that Viners has on offer, as there truly is something for everyone. If you’re looking for something equally as opulent but a bit different, their Dazzle range was recently introduced and comes in both silver and gold.

We were suitably impressed by the Viners Mayfair 44PC Wooden Canteen Cutlery Set, and this cutlery has become a fast favourite at the dinner table. We have preferred to keep this cutlery set to use for special occasions only, but as we’re running out of excuses to throw dinner parties in order to use it, I would not be surprised if it makes and every-day appearance. There’s something wonderfully exceptional about using fine cutlery to dine, as it changes the experience from quite an ordinary task to more of an extraordinary experience.
