Our fist experience of the Tibo brand came in the form of two floorstanding Tibo Nexus 400 speakers. We were a bit out of touch with Tibo as a brand, having not come across it before; so we were very intrigued to put these speakers through their paces and see how they delivered.

The Nexus 400 speakers promise 400W of output power with an inbuilt subwoofer. They are also NFC compatible, which is sure to appeal to those who are more technology focussed. They offer Bluetooth 4.0 compatibility and the AptX codec allows for wireless streaming from other devices, as well as enabling them to communicate with each other. This removes the need for any additional cables, aside from the main power plug. That being said, these speakers do come supplied as standard with an optical cable, should you have a slightly more complicated set-up. And of course, you can also connect via USB or mini jack.

Technical details aside, the speakers are aesthetically pleasing. With their sleek, black design, these slimline column speakers are a great addition to any room. Placement isn't a problem, as they are as discreet as floor standing speakers can be, and they can also be operated via remote control from anywhere in the room. The remote also comes in handy to control the sound output settings, so it's easy to make adjustments wherever you are; and the usability is very straight forward.

"The ability to connect to them from so many different devices is what makes these speakers so flexible."

We connected these speakers to our TV and were astounded by the difference. They provided fantastic sound for film and television. We also used the speakers to play music whilst we were entertaining one afternoon. The ability to be able to connect to them from so many different devices is what makes these speakers so flexible. We found we used them everyday without thinking too much about it - they quickly became an indispensable addition to our office.

For our first Tibo experience we were thoroughly impressed with these speakers. Both in terms of their audio output and their aesthetically pleasing design, they certainly delivered and met all of our sound needs. We would thoroughly recommend these speakers to anyone looking to invest in their sound set-up. We will certainly be checking out the rest of the Tibo range, as we are now suitably taken with the brand.
