We recently spent some much-enjoyed leisure time in the Cotswolds. The Cotswolds is one of those special places where you can truly escape into, from the wonderful countryside views, to the stunning limestone architecture and medieval villages; there’s so much to see. During our trip we wanted to ensure that we were able to explore as much as possible, so we chose to take the bikes with us, and it was certainly a decision well made.

The bikes were new and we’d been looking for the perfect chance to debut them. It was certainly a great first outing for the Dawes Vienna bike, which, if possible is the most “Cotswold-y” bike you can imagine. From the Dawes Heritage range, this bike is a beautiful sky blue colour, boasting matching colour coordinated chain guard and mud flaps. With wide handle bars the Vienna bike comes complete with a polished chrome bell - it really embodies country-chic at its finest.

We were pleased to discover that not only was it a super bike to look at, it also delivered on performance. With three gears, it offered a very pleasurable ride throughout the county roads. It was sturdy and of excellent quality, delivering a reassuring feeling of safety and security, and also durability. Perfect for even a not-so-confident, or a novice cyclist.

“Regardless of where you’re looking to explore by bike, the Vienna bike is certainly the perfect lady’s choice to do so in style.”

We couldn’t recommend this bike enough for exploring the countryside. We chose our debut outing to be in the Cotswolds, but this bike would be perfectly suited for any country location, or even town for that matter. We’re big fans of the Cotswolds however, so if you are looking for any form of biking inspiration, we can certainly vouch for the area. The Cotswold Line cycle route runs from Oxford to Worcester, through some of the most picturesque Cotswold towns. It follows the Cotswold Line railway, so it’s a great way to truly see the area, and if you get tired, you can just jump on the train home!

Regardless of where you’re looking to explore by bike, the Vienna bike is certainly the perfect lady’s choice to do so in style. We were very impressed and can’t wait to get back out there, I mean, is there a better pastime than a relaxing, meandering bike ride through the beautiful English countryside? We’re yet to find one, but you must let us know if you’re privy to any!
