The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne is a stunning Victorian property with a bright white façade. It stands proud overlooking the seafront in Eastbourne, and on a clear, sunny day, offers some of the best views to be found in the UK. Not only is there enough to do and see in the hotel, you have Eastbourne Pier just a short walk away, and you’re just over 2 miles away from Beachy Head.

This was our second visit to the majestic Grand Hotel in Eastbourne. While this means we knew what to expect this time, it didn’t stop us having an even more pleasurable experience than our first visit. With its fabulous setting of a seascape to the foresight, and a nostalgic shopping parade to the rear, we had more than enough to explore and take in.

Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a welcoming, attentive, professional, and friendly team. The rain was falling heavily as we arrived and we were met immediately by the bellman with a huge umbrella to shelter us whilst he took our luggage. Our car was parked for us, and the staff helped make our arrival as trouble-free and comfortable as it could have been, even ensuring we stayed dry in the process.

“A Grand Hotel fit for a king.”

After a short check-in we were escorted to our Junior Suite. The suite was a spacious room, and home to an extremely comfortable four-poster bed, luxury soft furnishings, and a balcony offering extensive views over the sea. The suite was very well equipped with all that we would want to provide a comfortable stay, and we were very happy with the room.

Before sitting for dinner at the Mirabelle Restaurant we took the opportunity of visiting the health club. We enjoyed a swim in the indoor pool, soaked up the healing warm jets in the whirlpool spa which was most enjoyable, and finally finished with a stay in the steam room. For those looking to relax they also offer a wealth of therapeutic treatments that are certainly worth considering.

Our relaxing visit was perfectly brought to a close the next morning and we are already looking forward to returning in the future. If you want to experience some stunning views while staying in a grand hotel fit for a king, the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne is a must visit.
