The Goodwood Hotel can be found located on the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex, which is of course also home to the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit. Having seen this hotel many times during previous trips to Goodwood, we recently decided to visit.

After a brief check-in, our luggage was taken and we were shown to our suite in the main building. The walk was quite an interesting one, as we stopped to admire the vast photography collection on show throughout the building, which pays homage to its motor racing circuit and the many famous racing drivers who have graced the tarmac.

We soon found ourselves in our suite with our luggage being stored. We were shown around the room before being left to settle in. Our suite was certainly not short on space and was wonderfully refreshing on this summer’s day with a mix of pale blues and crisp white throughout. We were able to enjoy a separate lounge area which included a large sofa and a coffee table complete with a collection of magazines and books, as well as a small library in each alcove with the open fire place taking centre stage. There suite also offered a dining table and chairs, which is perfect should you wish to take breakfast in your room.

“Both our lounge and bedroom offered beautiful views over their farm which is home to their lambs and pigs.”

In the bedroom you will find a king size bed complete with plump pillows and a collection of scatter cushions, as well as a small desk and another flat screen television. There’s also built in wardrobes and drawers for those planning a long stay. Both our lounge and bedroom offered beautiful views over their farm which is home to their lambs and pigs.

The bathroom was stunning, boasting a freestanding bath tub, a walk-in shower and a single wash basin and of course a toilet. There’s also a television set within the bathroom wall, along with ceiling mounted speakers which is a great excuse to have a long lazy bath whilst watching morning television. There’s also one further separate toilet located in the lounge area.

In the hotel itself you can enjoy their spa facilities which include a huge indoor pool, a well-equipped gym and vast selection of treatments should you be looking to be pampered. There’s also a Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room available. Golfers will be pleased to locate the golf course, which is immaculately kept and a joy to explore on a sunny day. There’s also a number of dining options available including the Bar & Grill, The Kennels, and their latest offering Farmer, Butcher, Chef, which we were excited to visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Goodwood Hotel. The staff were all extremely friendly and polite throughout the hotel and we can only speak highly of our experience. We would certain return and it comes highly recommended by us.
