The Times Bar can be found located inside the Savoy Hotel in Berlin. The Times Bar truly is an iconic establishment, adorned with a wealth of history and charm. The bar itself has held on to its original décor, making this a real, authentic cigar bar in the heart of Berlin.

The service is very friendly and the staff are always on hand to recommend cigars or make suggestions based on your drink of choice. You will find a walk-in cigar room with a huge choice available, of which you can browse at your leisure. Once you have selected your chosen cigar, it is then cut and prepared for you.

We both began our evening with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rosé that set the tone perfectly, the dry yet fruity palate of this Champagne was as elegant and sophisticated as our surroundings.

“If you're in Berlin and you enjoy a good cigar then The Times Bar really should be visited.”

Following this, I enjoyed a Watermelon Man cocktail, which saw vodka, mixed with watermelon, grenadine, lemon, orange, pineapple and fresh lime juice. This fruity blend was a welcome pick-me-up that would satisfy ant sweet craving. My partner on the other hand, chose to savour a glass of Armagnac Castarède 1987 – a fine choice that lead to the main reason for the visit.

After a period of consultancy, we chose our cigar pairings for our respective drink choices. I was recommended a Bolivar Libertador cigar, whilst my partner selected a Romeo y Julieta Cedros De Luxe, make sure you have enough time as these are no small cigars, so allow yourself a good 40 minutes to enjoy such as cigar. We both relished a glass of Disaronno with a single ice cube to complete our experience.

If you're in Berlin and you enjoy a good cigar then The Times Bar really should be visited. The service is second to none and the atmosphere is enviable. If you’re looking for a place to sip great drinks, enjoy a cigar and truly escape the hustle and bustle of city life, then this certainly is the haunt for you. As an added bonus The Times Bar also boasts views of the Delphi cinema and is a great place for people watching. We cannot wait to return.
