Situated between two canals in the heart of wonderful Amsterdam, Sofitel Legend Amsterdam has a long and grand history within this special city. Part of the Sofitel Hotel group, the Sofitel Legend Amsterdam has been converted numerous times; previously a convent, it has also been a City Hall and is now a prestigious hotel.

The building has been beautifully renovated and is able to maintain its 15th Century charm whilst impressing passers-by with its sleek and stylish renovation. The interior is just as impressive, boasting a wonderful bar and a popular restaurant for its guests to enjoy.

The entrance to the hotel is grand and almost enchanting. The marble floors and mass of contemporary sofas and chairs make it inviting to any new guest. The hotel also has its own library with roaring fire and an area to relax and enjoy afternoon tea.

“Complete with indoor swimming pool, well-equipped gym and a range of relaxing spa treatments, the hotels facilities certainly do not disappoint.”

During our visit we stayed in a junior suite which overlooked the hotel’s grand inner square where bellmen greeted guests. Situated on the third floor, we were impressed with the size of the suite.

The suite included a bathroom with a television and separate bath and shower. It also included a large sofa and a plasma television. The bedroom was well finished and included a king-size bed. The décor of the room emulated the grand and stylish décor found throughout the hotel, and certainly didn’t disappoint.

The hotel also offers guest the opportunity to indulge with its impressive spa. Complete with indoor swimming pool, well-equipped gym and a range of relaxing spa treatments, the hotels facilities certainly do not disappoint.

Our stay at the Sofitel Legend Amsterdam was highly enjoyable. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.
